Confidence for English P2 Programme

The Confidence for English P2 programme is specially designed to enrich and enhance the English language skills of Primary 2 students. This will give each child a headstart for weighted assessments and examinations in Primary 3. Developed with a focus on building proficiency and confidence in English, the programme aims to empower young learners to express themselves effectively and fluently in both spoken and written English, through the infusion of IQ and EQ skills in our lesson plans.

Programme Overview

Grammar

Primary 2 students will master grammar rules laying a solid foundation of the English language.

Vocabulary

Primary 2 students will learn a variety of new vocabulary words and phrases as well as how to apply them to other components.

Comprehension

Primary 2 students' will develop the ability to thoroughly understand and interpret comprehension text through various practices. This would in turn build their skill of reading to understand and breaking down complex questions.

Composition Writing

Primary 2 students will build a strong foundation in writing coherent and compelling compositions, including sentence formation and creative writing focusing on helping them express their thoughts and ideas clearly using appropriate grammar and vocabulary.

Public Speaking and Presentation Skills

Primary 2 students will be taught how to deliver a solo public speaking presentation through awareness of presentation skills as well as many opportunities to present solo in front of an audience.
